MORE INFORMATION
Originally devised at 36000 feet over Siberia, this book was commissioned by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and is recommended for all practising pharmacists and other health professionals. But that is not to say that one must be a health professional to use this book – it is beautifully laid out to allow maximum accessibility to the most important information on all aspects of homeopathy quickly and concisely.
Part 1 – An introduction to the principles of homeopathy as a self-contained curative system. The basics of anthroposophy, biochemical tissue salts and flower remedies are also explained. Valuable information for health professionals regarding the integration of homeopathy into their practice.
Part 2 – 56 flow charts (decision trees) which will help properly target the most appropriate homeopathic remedy for a wide range of commonly seen acute conditions, whether you are an experienced practitioner or newcomer to homeopathy. The charts are complemented by supplementary materia medica notes to further inform your choice of remedy. The majority of remedies referenced in this book are readily available over the counter in pharmacies and health stores.
“This book is one of the best-organised homeopathic works I have ever seen. It gives you confidence; it provides a footing for quick homeopathic action when time is of the essence. No theory, no prolonged intellectual discussion, just a guide to the action needed, here and now.” – Ivo Wiesner in the Homeopathic Links Journal

This small yet robust book, roughly the size of an A6 sheet but slightly taller, fits easily into the palm of your hand for quick reference in acute prescribing situations.
What sets this book apart is its unique approach to helping users navigate remedy choices for acute conditions through a flow chart system. The tree-inspired model lays out symptoms of particular acute illnesses along with yes/no options, leading to remedy choices. This format gives users a roadmap for selecting remedies, helping them compare and assess remedies.
The flow charts are designed to guide users towards a single remedy choice along with a comparative table on the opposite page, which includes modalities and keynotes to help confirm the remedy.
This user-friendly book would be valuable in a pharmacy or health shop setting, for homeopathic students, home users and is ideal for carrying during travels along with your remedy kit. Its slightly higher price compared to some other acute prescribing books reflects the unique flow charts, the authors OTC (over the counter) clinical experience, and the quality of printing.
Part 1 of the book introduces homeopathy theory along with an excellent section explaining homeopathic pharmacy. It includes useful flow charts that demonstrate the preparation of homeopathic remedies from source materials to the final product, as well as diagrams explaining the potentization process. The well thought out pharmacy section is not surprising given the authors are father and son pharmacists Steven and Lee Kayne at Freemans Homeopathic Pharmacy in Glasgow, Scotland.
Part 2 of the book comprises of 56 prescribing flow charts for some of the most common acute conditions, accompanied by corresponding Materia Medica tables.
